Juan Luis Requena
Interior designer
Juan Luis Requena is inquisitive, creative, eclectic and a lover of colour and, above all, of unusual buildings. It was this passion which led him to stop pursuing his degree in architecture and dedicate his efforts to design when he grew tired of not touching "the work".
He was born in Madrid, and in the 1980s set up a studio in that city. He began in television, where he did set design for productions such as Fortunata y Jacinta and Santa Teresa de Jesús. He then left the world of television, and embarked on new projects. He designed Burger King´s new image and buildings for the American multinational IBM.
He currently favours the hotel sector, a new path offering many possibilities. Examples of his work are the Kempinsky Hotel in Fuerteventura and the Beatriz in Toledo.
