A LONG HISTORY

LOCALIZATION; BARCELONA

MATERIALS:
- POLISHED BLANCO MACAEL
- CREMA PARADOR, FORUM AND COTTON

Located in Barcelona (Spain), at a strategic point between the mountains and the sea, this hotel has just re-opened its doors after several years of restoration work.

The building is the work of the architect Ramón Raventós and was opened for the first time in 1925, making a dream come true for one man, known as Doctor Andreu. Its splendour, however, did not last long as it suffered the consequences of the Spanish Civil War, when it was used as a military hospital.

After many years of neglect, it re-opened its doors in 2003. The character of the old hotel has been maintained to the greatest extent possible and in the refurbishment, the original façade has been conserved and has been declared Artistic Heritage.

Its interior contains several comfortable and elegant spaces that have TINO stone as a point of reference. For the communal areas, the choice was Blanco Perlino Domus and for the bathrooms of the hotel rooms Crema Parador Forum was chosen, both for furnishings and wall coverings.
