Architect

Carlos Langdon´s British origins provide him with discipline, and his Spanish side creativity. He earned a degree in architecture from the University of Manchester (United Kingdom), and did post-graduate work at the University of Chicago (United States). He has worked for the most prestigious architecture studios in both countries.

In 1973, he opened his own studio in Madrid, specializing in planning and designing shopping and leisure centres, resorts, hotels and unusual projects.

Noteworthy among the work he has done in Spain are the United States and Austria Pavilions [Serán dos, ¿no?] for Expo `92 in Seville; the Mormon Temple in Madrid; Tres Aguas Shopping Centre in Madrid; renovation of the Ritz Hotel, also in the capital; and La Florida Hotel, in Barcelona.

Internationally, highlights include large-scale projects such as the stations for the tren urbano in San Juan de Puerto Rico and the Marriot Hotel on Isla Verde, also in this Caribbean country.
