R&D&i Stone engineering. An added value. There is a clear trend towards innovation and the creation of new products that is currently affecting all the industrial and service sectors. In the natural stone industry, this trend can be seen in the constant search for new stone products with greater added value and competitive advantages. At TINO we have our own installations with a natural stone research laboratory, which was set up with the aim of studying the applications, behaviour and the best and most enhancing treatments for different materials made available by the department dedicated to the global search for quarries. Backed up by state-of-the-art technology, the main activities of the R&D&i department are focused on: - Researching and developing new products, systems and applications for Natural Stone. - Developing innovative textures. - Studying new installation and fixing systems for Natural Stone. - Creating projects to improve the technical characteristics and behaviour of Natural Stone. - CE Tests and Marking. - Exclusive treatments to enhance the properties of Natural Stone. At TINO we study the behaviour of stone according to laboratory protocols developed by recognised standardization institutions (European Committee for Standardization, (ESC); American Society for Testing Material (ASTM), or the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). In some cases, motivated by TINO's innovative nature, we have developed our own test protocols. This is something new in the stone sector and is usually only done by large companies in sectors as well-developed as the motor industry. |
